Attention All Realtors®!   Please be advised that under Manorhaven Village Code sections 120-16 and 120-17, listing a rental unit without a valid rental registration permit is punishable by a maximum fine of $1,000 and/or 15 days imprisonment for a first offense.  Please contact Ron Kaslow at the Village Hall (516) 883-7000 ext. 114 to verify whether the rental unit has a valid rental registration permit prior to listing. 

The Village of Manorhaven has been aggressive in its enforcement actions and interprets these sections as applying to the listing , the renting broker, and any other person or entity that is involved in the rental.  Accordingly, you cannot simply rely on the information provided by the listing broker.  You should call the Village to verify that the unit has a valid rental registration permit yourself prior to listing or showing a rental unit.  In addition, addresses within the Village of Manorhaven have a Port Washington address.  If you are not sure as to whether a particular unit is located within the Village of Manorhaven, we encourage you to contact the Village yourself to confirm.
