The Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) is proud to announce that Robert Zabbia of Allstate – the Zabbia Insurance Agency has been named the recipient of the esteemed REALTOR®-Affiliate of the Year award. The announcement was made at the association’s Annual Installation and Awards Dinner held on November 20, 2018 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.  

Robert Zabbia’s father opened Allstate Insurance agency in North Massapequa in 1996, Robert started working with him one year later. Watching his father interact with people and knowing everyone in the community, was the reason Robert got involved in the business in the first place.  Robert took over the agency when his father retired in 2001, after 20 years in the business. He is proud to now work with the children and grandchildren of the people they helped to insure over the years.

Robert and his Allstate team have been together for many years, their clients experience a friendly, customer-oriented feel that comes with a family business. They understand life on the south shore first-hand and are ready to help protect what matters most — whether home, auto or life insurance or are a contractor who needs small business insurance.  They are also there to help prepare for your future, from saving for college to getting ready for retirement.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University. He is a member of Allstate National Advisory Board, Professional Insurance Agents Association, Allstate Agency Executive Council and the New York Allstate Agent Advisory Board. Robert has received numerous Allstate National Conference, Circle of Champions and Leader’s Forum awards and he was named the 2018 LLS Man of the Year.

Robert has been a member of LIBOR as an Affiliate and Chapter sponsor for the past three years. He can be found sponsoring and attending Chapter events across the island.  “I love being involved with LIBOR because of the relationships that I have built with people who are so dedicated to helping people realize the American Dream of home ownership. We have developed great partnerships that have helped me grow my home insurance business.” said Robert.

Massapequa is a close-knit community, Robert and his wife, Joey, are happy to be raising their twin son and daughter nearby. Most days you’ll find Robert at the office or with his family — especially on various sports fields with his kids. But he also does his best to give back to the community through the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce. Robert is a member of the Columbus Lodge of the Order Sons of Italy, where he sponsors scholarships through the group each year. Robert also supports local softball leagues and Plainedge High School football, and he enjoys his time with the Mustang Club of Long Island.
