National Flood Insurance Program Set to Expire Sept. 30, 2023

Caught in the ongoing standoff to avoid a government shutdown, the National Flood Insurance Program’s (NFIP) legislative authorization to provide flood insurance expires September 30, 2023. As Congress discusses a short-term extension of funding for the program, the National Association of REALTORS® is urging Congress to pass a long-term reauthorization of the program.
