Long Island Board of REALTORS® Honors Liz English with 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award


The Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) is proud to announce that the celebrated 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award has been presented to Lisbeth “Liz" English an Associate Broker at Netter Real Estate, West Islip.

A REALTOR® for 35 years, Liz was honored for her unwavering commitment to LIBOR, and her invaluable contribution as both a past President and a leader of RPAC. The presentation was made on November 26, 2019 at the association’s Annual Installation and Awards Dinner held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Liz has been a LIBOR “volunteer” since 1998 when she was asked to join the Suffolk South Shore Chapter Board of Directors. She served her chapter as Vice President and President and became a LIBOR director in 2002. Liz has been a member of every committee at LIBOR; she chaired or vice chaired RPAC, Mediation, Awards and Nominating.

In 2006-07, Liz served as LIBOR Suffolk Vice President. She was the 2007 recipient of LIBOR’s REALTOR® of the Year and facilitated the founding of LIBOR’s Young Professionals Network (YPN).

She continued service on LIBOR’s executive committee as Secretary and Treasurer before being elected 2010 President Elect, Liz served as President in 2011. Liz helped establish an AREAA NY East Chapter in 2013 and received their service award in 2015. She received LIBOR’s Legislative Advocacy Award in 2014.

At the state level, Liz has been a director since 2004, served on (almost) every committee and chaired or vice chaired RPAC Trustees, Fair Housing & Cultural Diversity, Housing Opportunities Foundation and Co-op Issues Working Group. Liz was Metro Region VP in 2013-14, inducted in the RPAC Hall of Fame in 2013 and received the 2014 Caldwell RPAC Service Award. This year she was honored to be New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) REALTOR® of the Year.

Nationally, Liz has been a director for 10 years and has served on several committees, most notably on RPAC Major Investor Council and on Diversity. Since 2013, she has been Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) to Congressman Peter King and was inducted into NAR’s RPAC Hall of Fame in 2018.

Liz has been married to her husband Ron for 53 years. They live in West Islip and Westhampton Beach with their kitty, Elsa. They are blessed to have their real estate children: Matty, Mo and Wendy (Savannah and Ethan) and Kate and Jim (Siena and JT).
