Alfred Fazio has represented clients in all aspects of litigation and transactional work arising from his extensive real estate practice for over 20 years. That practice has centered on financing and real estate transactions including loan originations, commercial leasing and purchase and sale agreements. In the area of transactional real estate, Mr. Fazio represents buyers and sellers in the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, development and construction agreements, real estate brokerage agreements and other documents relating to real property acquisition, ownership and disposition.

Mr. Fazio has extensive experience in real estate litigation encompassing a broad range of issues including the prosecution and defense of brokerage commission cases as well as the defense of real estate brokers alleged to have violated fair housing laws. He is general counsel for several real estate organizations and is an Adjunct Professor with New York University. In addition, Mr. Fazio is the author of a monthly newsletter which is disseminated throughout the real estate community.

After graduating with a bachelor of arts degree from Georgetown University in 1980, he obtained his juris doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 1983.

He has represented real estate brokerage firms in the defense of breach of fiduciary duty claim (law of agency) as well as claims of misrepresentation and/or fraud instituted by disputed customers/clients. Mr. Fazio has acted as defense counsel for insurance carriers in defense of fair housing issues in both the federal and state court as well as actions instituted by administrative agencies, in-house counsel to some of the largest real estate broker firms in the City of New York.
