Description
1031 Like Kind Exchanges
When a business or investment property is sold, a great deal of the money the seller receives from the buyer will be paid to the government in capital gains taxes and taxes on the amount of recapture for the depreciation the sellers have been claiming over the years.
However, if sellers understand how to take advantage of Section 1031 of the IRS Code, which allows the them to defer recognition of that gain and recapture indefinitely, they can maximize their retained income and accrue wealth for their heirs.
Learn how to help your clients retain the profits they have earned on their property through the information you receive in this class, which teaches what property is eligible for this preferred tax treatment and the rules that must be followed in order to receive this benefit.
